The most beautiful hiking trails in Karksruhe

Klosterpfad

The Klosterpfad is one of the most beautiful hikes in Karlsruhe's surroundings and invites you to explore nature with its many stations. The path connects two old Black Forest founding monasteries in the valley of the Alb at an altitude of around 5000 metres and can thus be a journey back to the early Middle Ages. The abbey of the "Lords of Alb" was built by monks of the Cistercian Reform Order, the Benedictine complex in Frauenalb was intended for noble ladies of the monastery. Impressive buildings and original nature are omnipresent when walking along the monastery path.

Huguenot and Waldensian Trail

The path is a European cultural hiking trail of about 1800 km in length and stretches from Le Poet-Laval in the Alps of Southern France to the Karlshafen on the Weser in the North of Hesse. The historical cultural hiking trail in the Karlsruhe area is a counterpart to the classic pilgrim routes.
